I sure didn’t see that we would finish today
When I asked you why you had nothing to say
I admit sometimes I felt uneasy, yes, yes ok
All said and done how did we end this way
I thought that we were made for each other
That very thing we had, of a life rediscovered
Very soon we became more than just lovers
Now I'm sunken under a gloom laden cover
You didn’t even give reasons or try to explain
Just cast me aside and never wanted us again
The uncertainty and doubt is messing my brain
May as well end life or go completely insane
Given a lone chance I'd do anything for us
Criticise myself and even completely adjust
Get down on my knee and beg you if I must
Burn my house down just to win your trust
I know some days I wasn't easy to be around
You'd roll your eyes my way and sternly frown
But I swear I was fooling and being a clown
I'd never deliberately hurt or put you down
Yes I'm down now but should I give up hope
Of winning you back, no matter how remote
Let them call me names, I'm a spineless dope
When we're paired again, let them take note
When I asked you why you had nothing to say
I admit sometimes I felt uneasy, yes, yes ok
All said and done how did we end this way
I thought that we were made for each other
That very thing we had, of a life rediscovered
Very soon we became more than just lovers
Now I'm sunken under a gloom laden cover
